Does white granite stain easier? Description

We are ready to select Granite (http://tanbrown.org) for kitchen Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) tops in a long galley kitchen. Keeping things very light is important due to limited natural light in the room. We were ready to use Tipu White until we read that white Granite (http://tanbrown.org) gets oil stains easier than other Colors (http://www.g640.net) . Is this true? And would using a proper sealant prevent this from happening?
